Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I hope you all are having a great Christmas. Enjoy the time with family and friends and please get out and do something physical. We all need to stretch our muscles and Christmas time gives us so many opportunities to try new things.

I gave the whole kaboodle snow shoes this year. Hopefully we will get enough snow to try them out. Geoff's golf course is an idea place. It has some hills, lots of fir trees and is very peaceful. I too will be trying out my pair. I am so excited. It was warm enough yesterday to go for a long walk. Dexter was very much pleased with that. The thing I miss most about Christmas is all the times we went skating on Bowness Park lagoon. Geoff had his fifth birthday there, then we had cake at Bryan and Betty Lou's as it was pretty far for us all to go to our place in Keoma. Thanks again B&B for all your hospitality over the years. We have had another screwy season here, so not sure if the Red and Assiniboine  Rivers will be open for skating. The province has a competition for warming huts. Anything goes and many architect and engineering students get to show off their talents through the making of the huts. People get to vote for the best one.

I didn't go through and scan what Christmas pictures I have of family Christmases but here are a few from 2010.

Take care, enjoy the holiday and have fun no matter what you do.

LOST AND FOUND

Welcome back all you family etc. The other family blog with all the pictures etc. is still there in oblivion, but since my email changed, I do not have access to it - Google is not friendly at all.

Anyway here are some of the older pictures. At sporadic times I will add some more. If you have any you want to add, please send them to me. The blog was originally started for the Vince and Ruth Fleming family, but family is so much more than on arm. It has other arms, legs etc. so I will post any pictures and any info you have about the pictures.

Let's get started!
Ruth and Vince Fleming - date unknown but, the occassion was that they had gotten matching suits so of course that deserved a picture. Both looking quite good in my opinion. I see a resemblance between Shawna and mom.
Mom feeding Sonny (Don). My estimate is he must have been about a year old.

Taken at aunt Toot's. I would be 5 turning 6 and Sonny would be under a year. Always loved aunt Toots' ferns and her drapes.
Dad trying to watch TV. He did not like the light on when he watched TV. Gee if I look close I see the same expression on Geoff's face at times.
Okay this is Mary at about a year which would make Sonny five and me nine. Good times, good thing we didn't drop Mary.
Sonny is about a year here so I am six and Bryan would be 13. Love your hair Bro.

Sonny is roughly 2 and a bit. This must be what he looked like when the door-to-door salesman came to the door and tried to get Sonny to get his mom. He had his "cigar" in his mouth at the time and he would take it out and say blah blah blah. The salesman went to the other door and went through the same scenario. He became a great salesman repellant.

Mary looks like she is about 3 here so Sonny would be seven. Always loved the old Christmas trees.

This was taken when Christmas at Marilyn and Jim's. I know cause there is Timmy the bird. Wonder if he felt at home next to the tree? I am guessing ages here. Sonny and Cheryl must be about 6, Doug would be 4 and Mary would be about the same age.

Very nice picture of Tookie with Sonny and Mary.

Sonny trying to take the radio apart. He must be about a year and a bit.

Loading up the piggy bank with pennies. Kept him busy for a bit.

Mary is around a year, so Donny would be 5 and that would make me 9. I think that was one of the summers when the kids stayed at Ozada and Tookie and Liz would come out on the weekend. I swear I have elaphant legs baahaa.

Donny before he was walking, heading for the toy of the day. Nice to see the old coal stove in the picture. Vaguely remember that flooring. At some point dad or mom painted it pink and black. I loved that look.

Well, that is the start of the pictures.

Later Gators
